Newrest – St. Patrick’s Day
This month, it’s time for St. Patrick’s Day!
Follow our chefs to Ireland for a guaranteed introduction to Guinness!
March 17 is a very symbolic date for all Irish people. It is an opportunity to celebrate the anniversary of the death of Saint Patrick, an evangelist who is said to have explained the concept of the Holy Trinity to the Irish using a shamrock, thus making it the symbol of Ireland.
This holiday also celebrates the arrival of spring.
On St. Patrick’s Day, the Irish dress up and gather mainly in the streets and in Irish pubs. The day is enlivened by parades, concerts, traditional music sessions, and more.
Then it’s time to eat!
The Irish cook traditional dishes such as the famous Irish stew, a lamb stew with carrots and potatoes, as well as Baileys cheesecake and Guinness pudding.
As you can see, Guinness is THE star of St. Patrick’s Day, used in all kinds of dishes!
The entire Newrest team wishes you bon appétit!
