Sign up to the next Campus Biotech Innovation park workshop, organised by Innovation Initiator Geneus, on Thursday May 27th, from 9-10am!

The workshop will be about “The Rollercoaster Ride of Entrepreneurship-  a Journey to Life Sciences innovation."

Learn about the few common mistakes start-ups face while they are operating that might lead to complicated times and eventually to failures as a learning lesson. Support on this topic will be explained through personal experience in a start-up and using a real case example. 

The guest speaker for this workshop is Claudio Mellace.

Claudio was among the founding members and part of the leadership team of Adam SA (now AVO), a start-up incorporated in Geneva in 2008, leveraging on the research initiatives conducted at CERN and aiming to democratize proton therapy as cancer treatment. Claudio was a key player in the Adam’s private equity sale in 2014. 
Prior to his entrepreneurial experience, Claudio acted as Senior Agile Manager at Philip Morris International, driving business critical initiatives and actively supporting PMI transformation towards a medical-standards-driven corporate, integrating Agile methodologies and Data Science to Product Development.
Before joining PMI, Claudio served a MedTech SME (Nyon, CH) as a Senior PMO Manager and part of the Strategic leadership Board, securing a Distribution Partnership with Straumann and leading the global commercialization of the flagship product.
Claudio is a mentor at MassChallenge Switzerland, a Committee Member of the IMD Alumni Club of Geneva and a keynote speaker to inspire other professionals and entrepreneurs.
Claudio holds a MSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a MSc. in Industrial Production ME from Politecnico di Torino. He holds an executive MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
