IS SCIENCE AN ART ?
The Museum of the History of Science, in collaboration with Campus Biotech, will organize on July 7th and 8th 2018, the 12th edition of “La Nuit de la Science” on the theme "Is Science an art?". This event, created in 2000, has the overall mandate of allowing everyone to meet the scientific activity in a friendly and festive environment. This initiative will also facilitate a direct dialogue between the public and scientists and will report the natural and social sciences to the attendance.
Furthermore, “La Nuit de la science” is a laboratory connected to the various forms of scientific mediation and, as such, it seeks to propose innovative solutions to present scientific knowledge.
Its purpose is twofold:
- to allow a family audience to talk face-to-face with scientists and obtain simple and fun clarification on the latest research in progress;
- to offer scientists the opportunity to meet the public and offer them the possibility to explain their approach.
In other words, the aim of this initiative is to enable public to meet the scientific activity in a friendly and festive way, through a variety of approaches. This event also serves as a science outreach laboratory to test new ways of presenting knowledge and encourage contact or even emulation between the different teams involved.
