Il est reconnu internationalement pour ses travaux de pointes sur les variations structurales (i.e. les changements de l\u2019architecture du g\u00e9nome) et leur impact sur la sant\u00e9 et les maladies humaines.<\/p>\n
Auparavant, il a occup\u00e9 le poste de Directeur du Center for Integrative Genomics (CIG) \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne (https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/cig\/en\/home.html), o\u00f9 il a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans l\u2019avancement de la recherche et de l\u2019\u00e9ducation en g\u00e9nomique. Il a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 Pr\u00e9sident de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Europ\u00e9enne de G\u00e9n\u00e9tique Humaine entre 2019 et 2021 (ESHG, https:\/\/www.eshg.org\/about-the-eshg\/history).<\/p>\n
Dans ses nouvelles fonctions, le Prof. Reymond supervisera les initiatives strat\u00e9giques du Health 2030 Genome Center, qui visent \u00e0 exploiter les technologies g\u00e9nomiques de pointe pour faire progresser la m\u00e9decine de pr\u00e9cision. Sous sa direction, le centre ambitionne de renforcer ses collaborations avec les institutions acad\u00e9miques, les prestataires de soins et les partenaires industriels, afin d’acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la transition des recherches g\u00e9nomiques en b\u00e9n\u00e9fices concrets pour la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n
\u00ab C\u2019est un honneur de rejoindre le Health 2030 Genome Center \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque charni\u00e8re pour la m\u00e9decine g\u00e9nomique.
