The Swiss Center for Affective Sciences is one of the main centers in the world that is dedicated to the study of emotions, by combining behavioral sciences, neuroscience, and social sciences.

The center aims to develop fundamental research programs on emotions and to better understand their implications in areas as diverse as health, education, technology, art, and conflict management.

The center also aims to train the next generation of researchers through an ambitious program of doctoral and postdoctoral training with an emphasis on the impact and value of an interdisciplinary framework.

Finally, the center regularly develops research partnerships with both public and private sectors relating to the impact of emotions on behavior and decision-making.
